# Fan questions, answered

### What is hello.fan?
A place to talk one to one with creators, teachers, coaches and experts — by video, voice or text chat. Call someone who's online right now, or book a time that suits you both.

### How much does a call cost?
Each creator sets their own per-minute price in credits (100 credits = $1). You're charged in 15-second steps, only once you're both connected — never for a phone that's ringing.

### How do I pay?
Add credits to your wallet — packs from $10 to $250, or an auto top-up plan ($10/week, $30/month or $120/year). Calls, bookings and gifts are paid from your balance.

### Do I need the app?
No — everything works in your browser at hello.fan. The Android app on Google Play makes it even easier; the iPhone app is on its way.

### Is it private?
Yes. Calls are never recorded or stored, your phone number and e-mail stay private, and you can block or report anyone at any time. hello.fan is for adults (18+).

### What if we don't speak the same language?
Turn on live translated subtitles in a call — what the other person says appears in your language, from 30 languages. Chat messages are translated too.

### Can I book regular lessons?
Yes. Book a single session, or pick the same times every week — weekly sessions book and pay themselves, and you can stop any time.
